The Sycamore Township Fire Department offers free blood pressure screenings to community members at either fire station. These screenings provide residents with an opportunity to monitor their health, ask basic wellness questions, and connect with emergency medical personnel in a non-emergency setting.
Vial of Life
The Vial of Life Program helps first responders quickly access critical medical information during an emergency. Participants complete a medical information form and store it in a designated location in their home, allowing emergency personnel to obtain important health information when every second counts. Knox Box Program
The Knox Box Program provides secure emergency access to commercial buildings, schools, and other facilities. Property owners install a secure lock box containing building keys, allowing firefighters and EMS personnel to gain entry during emergencies without causing damage to doors or windows. Residents with health concerns may also purchase a residential Knox Box to allow access to their home in the event of an emergency.
How to Buy a Know Box
Car Seat Safety
Certified personnel provide education and assistance to parents and caregivers on the proper installation and use of child safety seats. This program helps ensure children are transported safely and reduces the risk of injury in the event of a motor vehicle crash.
Smoke Alarms
Working smoke alarms save lives. The department provides smoke alarm education, installation assistance, and replacement recommendations to help ensure residents have functioning smoke alarms in their homes and understand the importance of early fire detection.
Home Inspection
Home Inspections are a requirement for all adoptions and foster care homes in Hamilton County. You may also choose to have your home inspected for your own personal reasons. To schedule a home inspection.
Fire Station Tours
Community members, schools, scout groups, and organizations are invited to visit our fire stations to learn about firefighting, emergency medical services, and fire safety. Tours provide interactive experience and help strengthen the connection between the department and the community we serve.
