Three National Acts to Headline 2008 Festival In Sycamore
Three national bands, with over 50 albums and many hits to their credit will headline the 16th annual Festival in Sycamore to be held July 11th & 12th 2008 from 6:00 PM till Midnight at Bechtold Park located at 4312 Sycamore Road.
Ambrosia, with hits such as Your’e the Only Woman, You’re the Biggest Part of Me, How Much I Feel and Holdin’ On to Yesterday and the Atlanta Rhythm Section, with hits including So Into You, Spooky, Champagne Jam and many more will appear Friday, July 11th. Local acoustic group Firelight will open the evening on Friday, July 11th, and local band Working Class Villain and The Vibe will all open on Saturday, July 12th for Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason. As a founding member of the British supergroup Traffic, Dave Mason has also had hits including We Just Disagree and Feelin Alright. He has also been a featured player on many classic albums including George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. He is considered to be one of the top guitar players of his rock era.
In addition to great music, area restaurants will serve their fare of fantastic food as in years past.
The Festival in Sycamore has become a much anticipated event over the last 15 years with games, rides for the kids and much more.
