Parks and Recreation
The parks and recreation of Sycamore Township are a strong focal point in the community. With area sports, community projects, garden clubs, and activities, Sycamore Township offers a multitude of interest for everyone. Sycamore Township residents have a wide variety of park facilities available to them.
The
Township owns six parks, including the most
recent addition of 16 acres of wooded green
space at the Southeast corner of School and
Fields Ertel Roads in the Northern part of
the Township. For area residents, shelters
are available at Sycamore Township’s
own Bechhtold Park as well as scenic natural
trail for the outdoor lovers. All the parks
are home to many area sporting events which
are among some of the more popular activities.
The Township trustees are dedicated to providing
top notch equipment and facilities. Continually
maintained by our maintenance department and
with the support of the North Sycamore Civic
Association, we hope that you too will take
advantage of them.
