Long considered a residential area, attracting families with its convenience to downtown, excellent schools, high property values and zero earnings tax, Sycamore Township has evolved from a booming post War World II suburb to a shopping hub and in at least the last 15 years, to the premiere location for businesses of every type and size.  While Sycamore Township may be synonymous with Kenwood Towne Centre, retail makes up only one piece of its highly successful economic puzzle.  According to the latest figures, 1,376 businesses call the Township home.  Of these, 1,200 fall into the category of large business and corporations with 200 or more employees and several multi-billon corporations on the Fortune 200 list.  The remaining 250 are classified as small or "mom and pop" businesses.

The FBI is headed by a Director who is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. The current Director, Robert S. Mueller, III, became Director on September 4, 2001.

The FBI counts among its ranks approximately 30,000 employees, including approximately 12,000 Special Agents and 18,000 Professional Staff employees. FBI Headquarters is located in the J. Edgar Hoover Building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. The Special Agents and Professional Staff personnel who work at Headquarters direct, organize, and coordinate FBI activities around the world.

The core investigative and intelligence work of the FBI is accomplished in our 56 Field Offices and their 400 satellite offices, known as resident agencies. Field Offices are located in major metropolitan areas and are responsible for all FBI operations in their defined geographic region. The Special Agents and Professional Staff personnel who work in FBI Field Offices lead the investigations that are at the very heart of FBI operations.

In addition to our Field Offices across the United States, the FBI has more than 50 offices known as Legal Attachés, or “Legats”, located around the world. The mission of the FBI’s Legal Attaché program is to establish and maintain liaison with the principal law enforcement and intelligence/security services in foreign countries. This liaison enables the FBI to effectively meet its international responsibilities in organized crime, international terrorism, foreign counterintelligence, and general criminal matters.

In fiscal year 2005, the FBI’s total budget was approximately $5.9 billion, including approximately $425 million in net program increases to enhance Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, Cybercrime, Information Technology, Security, Forensics, Training, and Criminal Programs.

The Jewish Hospital

4777 East Galbraith Road
Cincinnati, OH 45236

In 1997, the Jewish Hospital also moved form its Burnet Avenue location where it had been since 1850 to Galbraith Road in Kenwood.  The move was in part to a response to overcrowded market conditions in Cincinnati.  Jewish Hospital not only put Sycamore Township on the map with its cutting edge medical procedures – it has been a pioneer in open-heart surgery for the last 30 years and has one of the only adult stem cell transplant programs in the Tri-State.  Two large medical office buildings opened across the street from the hospital at the end of 1999.  Jewish Hospital moved its medical offices into the space to free up room for inpatient care on its main campus.
